Early Life and Career

Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill was born on May 5, 1983, in Saint Helier, Jersey, a British Crown dependency in the Channel Islands. His mother, Marianne Dalgliesh, is a housewife, and his father, Colin Cavill, is a stockbroker.

Cavill began his acting career in 2001 with a minor role in the film Laguna. He made his breakthrough in 2007 when he was cast as Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk, in the Showtime series The Tudors.

Hollywood Success

In 2013, Cavill was cast as Superman in the DC Extended Universe. He has played the role in three films: Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and Justice League (2017). He is set to reprise the role in the upcoming film The Flash.

In addition to Superman, Cavill has also starred in films such as Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018), Enola Holmes (2020), and The Witcher (2019-present).

Personal Life

Cavill is currently in a relationship with actress Natalie Viscuso. He has been previously linked to actresses Gina Carano and Lucy Cork.

Cavill is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing rugby, soccer, and tennis. He is also a fan of snowboarding and swimming.
